Dandy Walker-Like Malformation Syndrome (DWLM)

Dandy Walker-Like Malformation (DWLM) is a form of cerebellar ataxia which is inherited as an autosomal recessive trait. This ataxia presents itself in affected dogs at a very young age, and is non-progressive. Affected dogs may also show episodic rolling an/or tremors. The mutation responsible for this disease in the Eurasier was recently identified by researchers at the University of Bern in Switzerland. Our test is based on their findings.
