PH - Primary Hyperoxaluria

Primary Hyperoxaluria ( PH ) is inherited as a recessive disease in the Coton de Tulear. Affected animals build up excess calcium oxalate in a number of tissues, but especially the kidneys where calcium oxalate stones form. This leads to progressive renal insufficiency. A research team in Finland identified a mutation that is responsible for this disease, and the test we offer is based on those findings.
