VetGen's entry into feline DNA services is more recent than with dogs and horses, and therefore our offerings are more limited. At present we offer DNA testing for polycystic kidney disease (PKD) which affects the Persian, Himalayan and Exotics breeds of cat. By testing for this gene, breeders can avoid breeding cats that will produce kittens affected with PKD.
